Is it only me or do long wedding veils remind you of a curtain/ghost/something scary and repulsive?

Wedding - so many things to think over and pick up!
Where to organise a good wedding party for our guests?
And how to arrange the menu?
We need to choose a wedding invitation design.
And buy a dress for me and a dinner jacket for Marcin (+ accessories).
And the wedding cake!
DJ or a band?
And a million different things and details...?

I feel that finding my perfect wedding dress will be a big challenge. I can't believe that it's so difficult to find a simple but beautiful dress without all those spangles. I don't like this kind of tinsel. I'm looking for a simple A-cut dress with a romantic neckline - the whole should be made of elegant and sophisticated material... Maybe it would be easier to sew it from scratch?

Stay creative.

I've just came back home after cinema. I sat here and I started writing my novel for a big writing competition. I'm not sure if I make it on time (deadline: 30.04.2012) but I'm trying anyway. It's rather... My personal challenge. I truly love writing but I haven't been writing much for a couple of years and I was wondering if I still can do it as I used to. When I was a child one of my biggest dreams was to publish my own book. That would make me proud!

Dreams are too weak to come true if we don't believe in them.
Let's not give up and put doing things for "maybe tomorrow".
Do what you want.
But do it now.

Love.

"It is a love story and at the same time one of the most spectacular and dramatic escapes in the history of the Auschwitz concentration camp. The story begins in 1943. Cyla Cybulska is deported to Auschwitz like thousands of other Jews. Her family dies in the gas chamber, Cyla is put to work as a seamstress. When the Pole Jerzy Bielecki first sees the young Jewish woman he has already spent two years in Auschwitz. The young Pole is risking everything to save his lover from the gas chamber. Disguised as an SS man Jerzy leads Cyla out of the concentration camp. But the jealousy and envy of the others make them lose track of each other. They both think that the other is dead. It is not until 1983 that Cyla learns Jerzy is still alive. Her polish maid sees a TV interview with a man who tells Cyla’s story: The man on TV is Jerzy Bielecki. The very next day, June 7, 1983, Cyla lands at the airport in Crakow. She is met by Jerzy, with roses in hand. A reunion, 39 years after Auschwitz.

What a moving story! I thought such things happen only in films or books. But that a real love story with a bitter ending. I wonder how could they be happy if they managed to find each other after war...? I truly feel it wasn't fair.

Today it's a Grandmother's Day. My Granma suffers from Alzheimer's disease and currently she doesn't recognise members of her family anymore. But I still keep the colourful memories of Her and I love my Little Lady a lot.

And I miss her terribly. You know that feeling of missing somebody when this person is still next to you?
